Car Registrations - Conclusion

  1. This study was conducted in May 09 among c.1.000 adults owning at least one of the qualifying  vehicles

  2. Exposure to the car registrations dealer website ensured that everyone in the survey was fully aware of the potential choice and prices the scheme offers

  3. This ensured that the key measure was the potential impact arising from the release of the ‘A to R’ series registration plates

  4. The introduction of the ‘A to R’ range will have a positive effect on the number plate market, generating greater interest in the product and a higher propensity to purchase

  5. Even allowing for lower levels of awareness than the research allowed for the new introduction does appear to be able to increase overall interest in a sales of personalised numbers in the next 24 months. However, these findings are not likely to be particularly time sensitive
